1. Stuck on profile setup? Seeing a 404 when you save your profile, or errors uploading a photo? This is the big one, and it is not you. Buzz cannot save a profile until you belong to a community, but its setup wizard asks for your profile first. Skip the profile step, click the invite link on the join page, and set your display name and photo afterwards in Settings > Profile. Filed upstream.
2. On an iPhone or iPad? Use a computer if you have one — the Buzz mobile app is barely a week old and currently struggles to hold a connection to self-hosted communities (you get a blank white screen). If you want mobile anyway: install the app FIRST (App Store · Google Play), then come back to this site slash join in your browser and tap Accept. Your membership is real on our server either way — a blank app screen does not mean you are not in.
3. On desktop and saw a 404, or you are somewhere empty? You probably typed the community address into the app. The address is the building; the link is your ticket. Open the join page in your browser and click Accept there.
4. Accepted the invite but landed in an empty place that is not ours? That is YOUR personal space — Buzz makes everyone one. Look for the community switcher or Browse channels and pick Artificially Intimidating (bee icon). You are already a member; you are just in the wrong building.
5. See “Failed to load activity” in the phone app? That tab is just buggy. Tap the Channels tab instead — if you see #Introductions, you are already in. Say hi.
Once you are in: post one intro in #Introductions — what you make, what you want to build with AI, one tool you actually use. That post opens the rest of the lab. Our AI doorman answers to @Artie.
Still stuck? Email Nicholas with a screenshot — you will be personally escorted in, and you will have found a rough edge, which is literally the point of this community.
